At Sporting Chance we recognise the importance of having a wide range of professionals under one banner to ensure our students and young people have quick access to services they require without a waiting list.
Within our team we have teachers, sports coaches, social workers, councillors , speech and language therapists, and we are ever expanding.
OUR GOVERNING BODY
DAWN HODKINS
I work for HMRC as a Deputy Director, Head of IT Business for Finance and Commercial systems.

I have experience and skills in leadership, business analysis, systems design and delivery and stakeholder management.
I’m responsible for supporting SCNE and the team, ensuring the organisation meets its strategic objectives and delivers our service offering to the highest quality.
CONNOR PEEBLES
My background is supporting vulnerable individuals of all ages with learning disabilities enhancing their lives through experiences and activities.
I’m involved with SCNE because I am always looking at different ways of giving back to the community. By putting the community at the heart of my charity work. I believe we can work as a team to equip the younger generation with the tools to build a brighter future.
NEIL CAMERON
I’m a founder and group director of a health and sport organisation on a national level. Previously working as a sport science lecturer and performance manager within England athletics.
I sit on a number of national and international boards and its my role with SCNE to ensure we fulfil our potential and ensuring high quality delivery.
MALCOLM GORDON
I have over 40 years’ experience in industry, in varying senior roles including Training, System Design, Work Delivery, Emergency Incident Response and Public Safety.
I have been involved in numerous Educational projects including hosting career events throughout schools/colleges in the area and leading workplace experience programmes. I have experience in recruiting Apprentices and Trainee Engineers including the selection competency tests and interviews.
POPPY HOPE
I’m a Business Analyst specialising in process improvement and technical development, this involves leading projects to ensure processes are executed efficiently, to a high standard and with the best tools at hand.
I have several years' experience working with charities, supporting poverty alleviation in local communities by working with families in times of need. I share this knowledge and experience with SCNE by helping them ensure their processes are effective in allowing them to work productively whilst also best supporting their community.
CHRIS HODGSON
I am a chartered accountant and currently the Financial Director at Bottlepay Ltd. I trained with PwC and spent most of my career working for Santander, Eurodrive Motor Finance and Deloitte’s.
I have known about Sporting Chance for a number of years and have always been impressed with the work they do in the community. I'm excited to be able to have the opportunity to use my experience in financial leadership to help shape the future direction of the organisation.
