At the heart of establishing this web site is the commitment to provide a user friendly resource to ensure that ‘Safeguarding really is Everyone’s Business’ in the North East of England and beyond.
Welcome to this new website provided by the Local Safeguarding Children Boards in the North East of England.
The purpose of this new facility is to provide information and to raise awareness about a broad range of safeguarding issues and to reflect the local, regional and national context.
Please note that this website cannot be used to make a referral. If you have concerns about the safety or welfare of a child or young person contact your area social work office, or the out of office hours contact number. You will find details of these in the SCNE Members' pages for your local area.
